Did you take the Creation Festival Double Dare?

Greg Stier
Greg Stier

I double dared the 70,000+ in attendance at Creation to share their faith last Thursday morning and I double dared them again on Friday morning. What is the double dare? It comes in two parts:

THE BIG DARE:  To commit to developing a lifesytle of personal evangelism. This means that they are going to begin the process of reaching everyone in their sphere of influence in God’s power and God’s timing. This is truly a big dare. It is to make the commitment to “dare to share” the good news of Jesus with everyone around them.

THE SMALL DARE: To begin with one person within 48 hours of returning from the Creation Festival. Why 48 hours? Because studies show that if you don’t do what you’ve learned within 48 hours you’ll NEVER do it. Why 48 hours? Because that’s all your friend or family member may have before they die unexpectantly. Why 48 hours? Because we are called to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

If you went to the Creation Festival and happen to be reading my blog I want to hear your 48 Hour Challenge story. Leave a post.

If you didn’t go I want to double dare you to take the 48 hour challenge and develop a lifestyle of personal evangelism and let me know what happens. Remember “success” in evangelism comes from being faithful not fruitful. Your job is to lovingly communicate the clear message of grace in a gentle yet bold way. God’s “job” is to flip on the switch in the heart of the person you are sharing the gospel with. In other words, don’t be discouraged if they don’t trust in Christ right away. Share the message and allow the Spirit of God to do his work in their heart!

I dare you. I double dare you. I triple dog dare you.
