It’s okay to be a fanatic for Jesus!

Winston Churchill once said, “A fanatic is someone who won’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.”

I guess that makes me a super fanatic because I won’t even change my mind about changing the subject. The subject is the Gospel. The subject is Jesus. (According to Galatians 1:6 these two subjects are inseparable!)

Call me crazy but  I truly believe that Jesus is the answer to every problem we are facing.

He’s the answer to our financial problems because, in him, there are true riches. And he promises to provide for his children on every level (Philippians 4:19.)

He’s the answer to our emotional problems because only in him can we find our true identity (Ephesians 1:4-14.)

He’s the answer to our relational problems because only through Christ can our relationships be built on an unshakeable foundation.

We can forgive those who’ve hurt us deeply through Christ. Only in him can we receive true and lasting healing from our past and our pain.

Sure we still get sick. We get depressed. And someday we’ll die. Yes, even for Christians, divorces can happen, relationships can shatter and bank accounts can go empty.

But it is through Christ that we will taste eventual victory. If the ultimate disaster for the Christian is death then it is also the only portal to ultimate victory…being face-to-face with Jesus forever in heaven!

So I won’t shut up about Jesus and I can’t shut up about his gospel.

It is good news in a bad news world.

Jesus died in our place for my all our wretched sins. Then he rose from the dead to give us his new life.

If you’ve never put your faith in Jesus trust in him right now and receive life, true life, eternal life!

And if you have put your faith in Jesus share that message with someone today! If you don’t know how download the free Dare 2 Share app, watch the short training videos and start spreading the good news.

Go ahead and be a fanatic. Its okay. Just be one who is drenched in love and humility and begin to turn those around you into fanatics who just can’t shut up about Jesus.

The old school fanatic prophet put it this way in Jeremiah 20:9, “But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.”
